ARTS Energy, manufacturer of high performance batteries, announces the acquisition of E4V, designer and manufacturer of batteries for mobility applications.

ARTS Energy, a French manufacturer and major player in electrical energy storage, has acquired Energy For Vehicles (E4V), a specialist in the design and manufacture of batteries for mobility applications. The acquisition was approved by the Le Mans Commercial Court on 6 June after 15 days of deliberation.

 

The synergy of two French battery manufacturers for the benefit of performance.

ARTS Energy is a French manufacturer based in Nersac, Charente, specialising in the design and manufacture of high-performance batteries for professional use. ARTS Energy stands out for its multi-technology approach (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH and Li-Ion) and its cell manufacturing assembly lines.

ARTS Energy has announced the acquisition of E4V, a company based in Le Manche that specialises in the design and manufacture of batteries for unlicensed vehicles, small commercial vehicles and navigation. The company has been placed under the protection of the Commercial Court following financial difficulties linked to stockpiling in order to meet delivery deadlines.

 

ARTS Energy seized the opportunity of this acquisition to create a powerful synergy between two complementary players. The two companies share the same vision
to focus on R&D, internationalisation and the production of high quality batteries.

Creation of a major mobility technology cluster

Thanks to this acquisition, ARTS Energy is expanding its presence in the mobility market by integrating a recognised player in this field. With this step, ARTS Energy
goal of accelerating its growth in the mobility market (e-bikes, e-scooters, small vehicles).

The new entity will be a major technology centre in the field of batteries and mobility in particular. With a total of 300 employees spread over two industrial
industrial sites, the aim is to achieve a turnover of 100 million euros within 3 years.
